Popping noise when parallel parking
Hey, does anyone know what this could be? Whenever I accelerate hard, I hear a popping noise... It's really bad when I parallel park, whenever I turn the wheel while the car is idle (bad, I know) I hear a POPPING noise. Ill turn it one way, hear the pop, then turn it the other way, another pop. I have already had the upper strut mounts and tie rods replaced... When I had the tie rods replaced, the noise was kind of similar, except there were two pops from either wheel...

I have the exact same condition on my cabbie.It is loader when parking than accelerating. I replaced the drivers side control arm bushings and sway bar links (both sides) and it is still there. Awaiting all the advise to come!!

I had a similar situation
Mine happend when I was under load or when stationary, as you say, but only when my steering wheel was passing throught the center,(i.e. the wheels facing straight foreward). Turned out to be a loose bolt on my steering rack. Maybe the same thing for you? Make sure all the bolts from tie rods to steering rack are tight. Good luck!
