Default Is it possible to remove the 130mph Speed limiter? STF and this is what I found

I plan on attending a track day this summer with my friend. Also what do you think the Audi would hit if the speed limiter was removed. 425cfm exhaust and 3" intake with bored MAF and somewhat bored TB.

Default I think that procedure is for the urs4. What kind of a track are you taking your car on?

U won't hit more than 130 on the track anyways.

Not sure of the track he just started talking about it earlyer today. I kinda figured I wouldn't hit more then 130 on a track but still thought I'd ask, 130 is kinda slow.

Default Which track are you going to?

No stock Audi 90 with a 2.8 12v is going to hit 130mph at Road America except on the front straight.

IMHO, you need to learn how to drive before worrying about going fast.

http://www.roadamerica.com/</a

Default IYHO nobody knows how to drive.

And IMHO what better way to learn then to try it first hand. Read the post I am not sure what track he is talking about. I will keep you posted on the track. Iv read a little about driving techniques, now shouldn't I practice them. : )

Default top i would say is 150, to get rid of the limiter...my idea was german ECU......

dunno if it would work or what not, but really don't see any reason why wouldn't and asked people before and they did not come up with a set in stone reason. And the best i have ever gotten up to is 95 mph in loudon, NH aka Bryar. Funny thing is that my dad with his TSI talon only got up to 80 or so and im in my 3400 or so lb. sled.

Default 150 is a bit optimistic....Cd is too high, gearing too long, not enough power.

The 5ktq, which has similar power/gears and better aerodynamics would only run to around 140, maybe 145 if yours is extra strong. The CQ only runs to 135 or so. Neither of those cars are limited ;-) I'd say the B4 should hit 140 w/o a limiter.

Ask MikTip about his German ECU ;-)

Default I don't think you will break 130 at a track day.

depends on the track but i still dont think you will come close.
