Is it possible to remove the intake manifold without removing the throttle body on a 7a engine.?

The bolts on my throttle body are rusty, stripped and a general PITA. It seems that some bolts holding on the intake _may_ be blocked by the throttle body... Bentley isn't much help. Should I just give up my quest to remove the intake and throttle body as one?

The intake manifold bolts on the 7a are on the drivers side of the car. They can be a pain in the *** to get out too. I stripped 2 of the allen heads when I was taking mine off. I took the TB off first but not because I had to. I think that you should be able to do it, just make sure you get the allen driver seated in all of the way, cause you will strip them out.

There are only ten bolts plus the injectors that hold the IM on to a 7A (or any 20v) head...

I ask because when I was taking my manifold off, I decided to clean the TB, and the manifold with brake cleaner cause it had quite a lot of buildup on it and my car only has 125k on the clock. I'm not sure if cleaning the carbon off of it actually did anything, but it made me feel better. I also had a full gasket set, so I had the TB gasket. It seems like a good opportunity to clean-up while it is off the car.
