Do the power steering and power brakes share the same pump on the 7a coupe? if not, im assuming i lost the belt controlling both? had to e-brake the car to sudden stops on my way home yesterday.
how hard is it to replace either the belt of the pump(s)? is it safe to drive the car short distances? i work only 4 miles from my house, never going above 45mph.
any help appreciated.

More info is needed though.
There is no "pump" for the brakes. The "main" thing for the brakes is the master cylinder. You also have a brake booster and a brake accumulator; if you loose those the brakes get HARD. The brake accumulator draws pressure from the PS pump but again, if you lost this your brakes would get hard. So are your brakes hard or soft??
If they're soft then you need to check the brake fluid and make sure you didn't blow a brake line. If fluid is okay you could have a bad MC. If it's hard then look at brake accumulator/power steering system.
The power steering could obviouly loose a pump or a belt. Assuming the brakes are hard, check for power steering fluid. If okay, then check the belt.
Belt is a little of a pain; the pump isn't fun either.
HTH!!
