I just did mine a couple of nights ago. Couldn't get to 2mm deflection though.

I personally go 5mm new/used - works for me with proper metric belts

Factory belts ARE toothed

I just replaced mine. OEM Audi belt was toothed and was replaced with a toothed Conti belt. (metric of course)
