Hello All,
I'm purchasing a low milage 91 CQ Silver on Grey & I wanted to know what I should look for and or ask about. I realize the timing belt needs to be done, but what else are "COMMON" Idiosyncrasies?
From what I understand these are some of more complex issues.
- drivers window occasionaly makes a "pop" noise on way up, speed is unaffected
- coolant temp gauge occasionly doesn't work on initial start. oil temp will start to read warm up, coolant does not move, sometimes will
engage when hit bump, or if turn off car and restart. problem occurs less
than 50% of time. likely loose connection.
Has anyone swapped or removed an interior on one of these cars? Is it complicated? Im a fan of the Black interior, and I would like to swap it.
Any help or Advice is appreciated,
Renn

If the timing belt needs to be done then it is not a bad idea to do the water pump and thremostat as well. Its a huge pain to take the whole front end apart to do the timing belt then have something go wrong later on and have to do it again.
