has anybody put in ben's improved shift kit recently? easy? I assume from others that it makes the shifts way nicer, crisper, etc.
feedback on those that have done it
there was a vid or something out that gave detailed install, can't find it now though

It's not improved, it's missing the spring to keep it centered.

The only thing I can compare my shifting to is now that of a b6 S4 or better than a 2002-3 GTI. I love mine, and you also dont have to remove your entire console to install it. Its basically just bolt and play...Laters

The quattrospeed kit? No, ask him he'll tell you the spring is not in the kit.

& what spring would that be? the OE setup only has 1 spring, which is for reverse up-tension

its different from other setups, but functions just fine the way it is.

I actually like the improvements the quattrospeed kit brings. Makes the shifting more sporty, shorter, and firmer. ;O)
