That looks like it was a B*tch and a half!;-) How hard was it to get to that point? Looks like a good time to do engine mounts....

I think what he means is since I have so much apart/visible, to replace as many components possible

nope, not for either lower or upper. Just don't undo the hoses going to the oil cooler by its filter

Default So, whats the oil-pan R&R gots to do with draining coolant?

Other than the drain plug?

Am I missing something here?

Default yea, you missed the boat Mike...sorry ;-)

DINA asked about coolant, and we answered the questions.

then we got to the point where I figured I should drain the coolant from my block because I have the oil pans all off, & the plug is easy to get to.

that's prettymuch it. The oil pan R&R has nothing to do with coolant, save that it gives me an excuse to drain mine from the block

And if his car is anywhere near as old as mine they may be worn out and not broken.

Motor mounts, on the Audi V6, do not require oil pan removal to change! ;O)
