Default Re-cycled a pair of old B3 plastic tower caps...

into dust boots to keep debris out of my Pro-Mounts.

Doesn't matter if they are cracked in the centre. Cut out the centres &amp; sized (sanded &amp; filed) the hole carefully to be round &amp; a press-fit around the dropped centre of the cupped washer just underneath the rim.

Then smeared a little syn. grease on the top &amp; bottom where things touch.

Pop them on &amp; you see that their lightly compressed between the strut tower &amp; the underside of the cupped washer. Looks almost OEM!

Now if I could just shrink them to fit the B4.

Default Seems to, they just flatten out, & get squished but not damaged...

so far(!). These Mount-Savers are street-height, so that's the clearance I'm working with.
