Default OT: test post...

please do not adjust your settings. Had this been a real post, it might have contained something relevant to this thread's topic, but I'm no longer real confident that I can even insert a post into the appropriate point in the conversation. Waiting for "edit" privileges.

Default I should have said spring "isolators", as the OEM steel perches remain (edited)...

as before. But I think you know what I meant.

May I assume your most interested in isolators for the quattro?

IIRC, you have the B5 Bilsteins vs the OEMs on the back end of your quattro. What I want to check is whether the lower perch spring seat profiles are the same (aluminum Bilstein lower perch vs OEM steel), and they may well be. The reason why, is that this location is the hardest part to get to fit correctly. The step change at the spring-stop is quite a jump and its' small I.D. requires careful hand-work to get the isolator to properly accommodate that change; once compressed by the spring.

It just so happens that I have a set of B5 rear billys that I can check out, if those are what you are using.

Default Re: "more polyurethane spring" isolators (edited)...

Let me look and see what I have left, perhaps I can find some more material if required.

I made a B4 Q set; and a B3 Q set for myself. Perhaps I could duplicate the B4 Q set, but for your other car, I've not seen what a FWD might use or need at the back end.

Default '93 B4 CS q exhaust system ground clearances...

With a full tank of gas, my full "lift kit" on an OEM suspension, and an otherwise empty car; here are my exhaust system clearances, looking at the four low points between the front and rear wheels:

Under the cats:
4 & 7/8";
Beneath the forward-most clamp on the Y-pipe (the small I.D. coupling):
5 & 3/4";
Beneath the forward-most clamp on the main pipe (the large I.D. coupling):
5 & 13/16"; and
Under the forward centre of the resonator shell:
7".

As these are by no means "fully laden" measurements, it's hard to compare with the factory spec of 4.2". I'd be interested to know what others may have for clearances at the above same points and conditions (and no, my car doesn't look anything like these...yet!).
