i just got a few laps at the ACNA winter driving school at steamboat springs, but ....
it was hairball rattle-mania
i've absotively got to get the new control arm bushings that are arriving tomorrow installed, before more ice racing.
i've got 3 or 4 more opportunities, this season![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Heat the heck out of the fitting before trying to loosen it. And be sure to wrap a wet rag around the flex line and wear safety glasses... when you heat those compression fittings (the crimped fitting on the end of the rubber flex line), they can "explode" apart... safety glasses keeps brake fluid out of your eyes.

To fix the rounded hardline nut, he'll have to replace a portion of the hard line. No big deal, really. But making sure the other nuts survive, wire brush and PB Blaster worked for me, and will probably work for him.
I had an experience with a set of flare wrenches I bought from my FLAPS. They had some rounded surfaces adjacent to the working hex flats that didn't allow the flats full access to the nut working surfaces. So when you buy flare wrenches, look carefully at them.
I ended up re-buying wrenches - Snap-On.

well, for the most parts. Guys with studded tires go around and grind down some imperfections but large drifts that are in the ice stay so if they make a course with a longer straight your feels like it could catch some air as you reach up to 60-70mph sometimes.
I've taken my A4 Avant up before and it was fun anyways...no quattro in my stable that i could do with now, but I'll jump in one of friends' cars and do it.
