which direction should the mount bolt offset be facing?
towards the rear bumper or towards the tranny??

perhaps the mount you recieved was not the "D" (aka 64.4mm) one?

Including a mechanic that works on Audi's for a living.
The 4kq uses the "same" rear subframe as the B3's, same side mounts, same rear diff case, etc.
The 214D part has an "eccentric" center bolt hole, as does the factory all-in-one mount.
I fail to see why it wouldn't work. Why don't you enlighten us?
