Noticed it was attached by some clear sticky material. Can anyone lend some advice on how to reattach it?

on the back of the package. my tip, if it's cold outside where you live, get your wife/gf/fiance/your own hairdryer and warm the windshield where you're going to re-attach the mirror. clean both the glass and the metal part of the mirror bracket well, then have fun. it's pretty easy actually.

Some local glass shops will just come out and re-attach it for free. A local place in my city did.
