Has anyone installed these headlights on their pre-92 audi?
I'm curious what you did to fill the gap between the grille and the lights. Did you leave the gap?
I'm thinking of fabricating a custom grille from that the universal grille material you can purchase (kamei?). Has anyone done this?
Thanks

Howdy! I have run this setup on two different TYP89's. The first fitment I fabbed up some solid black plastic spacers on the end of the grille, not the cleanest look but functionality was the prime goal. With the second car I took two stock grilles and basically elongated the stock grille on each end. There are some good examples of the work I have done by viewing these pictures:

As you can see from comparing to the top photo the grille is longer on each end and the end has a sharper angle at the headlight.
I may be doing some cleanup work on my custom grille shortly, if I do this I will make a quick set of pictures and quicky instructions on how to fabricate this style of custom grille. It looks quite nice and saves considerable money on the B4 hood conversion, which doesn't even look that smart with the stock TYP89 front bumper.
Cheers!
