RS2 + HID options, quality output of A6 projector vs retrofit?

I have read all of the archived threads on this subject and would like to know what people think regarding the quality of the HID retrofits.
I never really liked the H# retrofits and saw that qpilot did an A6 fitting.
Does anyone have a side by side comparo or any thoughts on the QUALITY of the light output using the correct A6 projector vs an H1 retrofit?
I did not come across any thoughts on this but more regarding ease of install. As seen in qpilots pics, there is a big difference in the projector design of the A6 HID compared to the HID halogen.
Thanks,
Chris

light output compared to retrofitting H1 HID bulbs to the stock projector.
Are you losing some efficiency with the RS2 lense?

like OEM equipment S4 bulbs with the E1 RS2's. Real weird light out put. I have Philips Ultinon 4300k D2S which are friggin awesome. I love the look and its white vs the blue/purple you will definitely find in the H# field. I personally think D2S is better than H# retrofit kit although some kits fit D2S capsules onto H1 bases, but I wouldn't trust that very much. Its a toss up. D2S is hard to fit but with some imagination its ok. Also, having D2S and RS2 headlight adjusters, like I do, the motors require movement of the projector lens so EXTRA tight fitting will need to looked at. I have not given my write-up here on that yet, I think I am the only one so far with D2S and RS2 headlight adjusters.

likely be just as good as what I customized with fitting the A6 D2S HID's into the RS2 headlamp.
It was a lot of work and as well a big risk. AND unless you are able to find a very specific type of screw you will never be able to go back to the RS2 halogen projectors should there ever be a need.
Mostly I did it because <"ahem" CVtech> I was under the impression that the two projectors were a direct swap. That turned out to not be the case, however given my extreme and crazy nature I decided to make it work (just like how EVERYBODY said that UrS4 seats couldn't fit into a B4). If you are comfortable making precise measurements and working sheetmetal to very narrow tolerances then this "upgrade" is possibly something you'd enjoy. But it doesn't take very much screwing up to wreck your RS2's.
There's a couple pics in my PicPoster from when I did it. If you want more just lemme know.
