Is there a way to "recalibrate" it because when the arrow is just touching the first red bar the gas tank is already empty. So now when the arrow is at the quarter mark, I must fill up or it will run out of gas pretty quick. I found that out the hard way. I had call my bro to bring me some gas.

So is it the gage or some fuel level sensor in the gas tank thats multi functioning?

usually the sender in the tank. Contacts get dirty.
