My Coupe quattro is sitting, unused, on the side of my house as I am up at school with my more reliable UrS4. Over the winter of sitting outside, it has developed two small rust spots where paint chips used to be (could possibly be repaired with some sand paper and touch up paint, but that won't be permanent), one or both of rear calipers are frozen, and it won't start. I feel horrible about it's condition.
Days before I bought my UrS4 I taged a deer in it's *** and it took out a e-code and tweaked the hood a bit and a few months before a parking lot incident did this to the bumper and the other e-code and bumper.

I have a set of replacement B3 e-codes, and I can get the B3 hood already red from Shokan for ~$250, but they don't have many Coupe/B4 front bumpers (if any right now, fast sellers). So figure another ~$300 for a bumper.
In my year of owning the s4, I've only missed driving the Coupe when it was snowing out, or when the roads were coverd with snow. Nothing beats a Coupe quattro in the snow. The S4 is a much a better car for my needs than the Coupe.
It pains me to know the Coupe is just sitting on the side of my house, unused. Yet, at this time in my life, I have no need for a second car. Yet, when I bought the car, almsot three years ago, I paid for it full in cash, so I have very little finacial gain to sell it (after it's fixed, I could realisticly get only ~$3,000 for it. I have that much alone in the three years of owining it in receipts. If I sell it know, will the prices rebound and start climbing again? I woudn't mind selling it to fund the purchase of a nice Quattro turbo coupe.
Sell it, or throw it in storage?
Should it stay, or should it go?

not going to get better just sitting. Sell it to your buddies at Shokan. Betcha they'll be glad to take it.

If its needs another $500 or maybe even more to make it road worthy, then you sell it for around $3000 it leaves you with $2500....that's gonna go fast and then what - if you have a place to store it, do so. Fix the rust spot, sand it down, put some rust killer and touch it up with tornado red. Once you are done with school and start making more $$$ you'll be able to slowly fund its rebirth - let it be your long term project. in the meantime, drive your S as a daily and keep it that way. Just my 2c.
They are nice cars, and I do believe their price will apreciate, maybe not any time soon, but I think it will....look a what UrQ are selling for $5-6K if not more. You can buy an A4 for that much, not that you would really want a car that you can see 15 times on the road every single day - read Boring!!

if she were in perfect condition (perhaps modded) and running THEN i'd say it would be work the expense to storage her until such time as you needed 2 cars -for whatever reason-. But since that's not the case may as well try and find someone who'll enjoy her =)
my honest opinion, though i realize it's easier said than done

Hang onto it till you're done with school or whatever and have time for a project. CQ's aren't getting any more common and if you sell it, you'll probably lose a bundle anyway.
