Default She dumped out her oil today...

Went out to start my car, -6 degrees. Came back a few minutes later and start pulling out of the driveway.

Then notice that the oil light was on and was showing no oil pressue.

Wtf?

Backed up and watched as she unloaded the contents of the oil pan onto my driveway.

Default Dumping oil

Heat/cold cycle loosened oil filter?

Hit some road debris on the way home last night?

Don't want to suggest it, but a cracked block from the cold?

Didn't leak until this morning. Filter was tight. Looked to be leaking right behind the place where the filter screws on.

Default What I'm afriad of. Costly?

Although the leak seemed to be coming from directly behind the oil cooler. I guess I'm hoping it's just an oil cooler seal.

and about an hour job at most...

check out my post about it on the 12v forum. Covers the lower oil pan seal and this o-ring... real easy to change.

Its the oil cooler seal. A $3 part and a 20 minute fix.
