Default UPDATE: Yup, it was the oil cooler seal
Mechanic turned it around in about an hour.

$108 out the door. Snaked it in without draining the coolant. Yeah I coulda done it myself but we had record setting cold in Vermont this morning.

Yeah I'm worried about that too. Mechanic says it sounds quiet so I guess I'm crossing my fingers.

but then again, I'm pretty cheap when it comes to this stuff, so I'd rather do it myself come hell or high water
