Default Shipping Question

Anyone here know the cheapest method to get an engine from Seattle to Massachusetts. All the freight shipping websites I have found want $400 bucks for shipping. Thats a little too high for me.

Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Default How much is the engine?

There may be closer options for the same or similar engine which gives cheaper shipping (maybe pick up). What engine?

To me, it is a more reliable source for a motor...

Email me for price...<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/12v/msgs/39377.phtml">X-post</a></li></ul>

Default 185k and noted damage to the head is reliable?

If it's cheap go ahead. But for $1,200 you can get a guarnteed 12v engine with documented miles and drie to pick it up in NY.

Probaly can have even cheaper 12v's by looking up car-parts.com but won't be as nice, or at least documented.

If it's something like $200 and $300 shipping and you really want one to tinker with, then get it.

Default For a core to play with,

A damaged lobe and lifters are not big deal, considering they are going to be completely rebuilt anyways. Plus my motor runs fine, but $1200 for a motor to play with, I would rather buy a Manual Tranny....

Your last sentence is pretty much on par.....
A little bit more for shipping.

And by reliable I mean the seller, he could have lied and said the motor runs fine, and that it never had any problems, but he didn't, he stated the truth, and to me thats worth it.

Default If you have your hear set on it, why not?

But IMO, unless you are REALLY going to TINKER with it, I'd not buy it.
