Default I don't have it but I did look at it before deciding to go with a B5 series but for anyone....

who can answer your question "may" be able to answer mine as it relates to the same shifter.

Why is it these shifters are touted at different sites as anywhere from 30-40% shortening rates while they all appear to be the same identical unit?

Default Its been an on going fued...........

Originally Billcats was the only Short Shifter in town, but at a $100+ price tag. Then along came QuattroSpeed, and his short shifter for $85. So this fued began between the 2, along with all their supporters and nay sayers......

You are correct in saying the 2 are nearly identical. ;O)

Here's Billcats own words-

https://forums.audiworld.com/9080/msgs/196634.phtml</a

Default I have it, I like it, It was easy to install, and it was cheaper than the BillzCat1 unit.

Not to mention that quattrospeed's service is quick and dependable.

Default I too have the QS-SS, does what its suppose to just fine. ;O)

That said, I'm sure Billcats does too. I bought the QS because it was less expensive. But since then they have come down in price.

2 good products, both have pro's & cons, ya gots to make a decision. ;O)

Default Either that or the billzcat will be fine (I think there is a $5 difference after shipping)

I got the Billzcat and am happy with it.

Default For the record

I was pissed off. Ben and I are getting along very well these days and I'm sorry I got in such a tiff.

However, one thing I said still remains true. You must must must have the reverse lockout on 6-speed transmissions. Engaging reverse instead of 1st is all too easy without the lockout.

And the actual shift reduction is 38% by my calculations.

He charges $85 plus ship, I charge $95 shipped.
