Hi guys-
I'm doing this carefully, so I don't screw up. Have read the various postings about removing door panels to get at switches and fix my broken lock. But I don't want to screw up....so can you guys help me out here? Re: my '91 90 NQ
Located all the screws - two on door frame, one behind latch, screws behind door pull. Then I think the panel basically pulls up and off, right? (Then you can remove the switches, etc.)
Removed the screws, but the panel is resisting somewhat. Don't want to yank it and watch parts fly....
Also, and maybe this is a question for the engineers who designed the thing. I'm thinking that you have to remove the whole panel even to get at the switches. Can't just pull the switch panel up and out.....why not? (Or can you?)
Thanks guys!

that screw behind the latch will release the lower plastic part inside the handle. Under that are two big screws...take them out.
Lift the panel straight up and look inside while holding it a few inches away from the door. There is a cable going to the door latch that must be removed from its mount (on the end) so it can be unhooked from the door latch. THEN, further down, you can see the plugs for the windows and mirrors and pull them off. As far as replacing the door latch.....that was the hardest thing I have EVER done in my history of working on cars. It has to be partially assembled - and then finished while your arm is up inside the dark recesses of the door. It took me 30 tries or so.
