Today my friend thought it would be funny when I had a car load of kids in my coupe to tailgate me on one of the steepest hills in my neighborhood, so when the light turned green I gave her a little gas and let out the clutch as fast as I could. I was barely moving and I was trying to get the clutch to grip, but it just was revving and I was wasnt going anywhere quick. I got to the top of the hill after about 10 seconds of trying to get up I make it over, then when I shifted it into second it wasnt gripping either. I got hella pissed off at my friend almost faught him for being a ***** and thinking that was funny and now my car is still not gripping. When I let out the clutch and give it gas it barely moves and revs really high up. I am letting it cool down right now and I am hoping that my clutch isnt done for considering I just replaced it less than 2 months ago. Please tell me what you think could be wrong or if its going to go away if I let it cool down...the last day of school isnt supposed to suck this much.

Break in requires some heat to be put into the friction material. You didn't smoke it did you? Smoking your clutch isn't good on them generally.

You may have to slip it just enough to get rid of some of the glazed surface. I've smoked the clutch on the 5kq before, let it cool down and it was OK (never slipped since, but it never did feel the same).

of people and mine does slip easier now
The CQ clutch can handle lots of abuse, but not with a heavy car!
