something weird happened today...

Default something weird happened today...

as im driving and pullin out onto rt.34 i noticed steam coming up from under my hood. i pull over and there is water and steam pouring out of my cap. why? no fan was on, the system totaly drained itself. i refilled it with water for the time being. but why would it do this? also, should i use dexcool?

Check to make sure that the cap's rubber gasket didn't crack or deform.<ul><li><a href="http://1">http://1</a</li></ul>

Default check your heater control valve too

should be near the firewall if it's similar to the 90q20v.

Default if the cap is broken, there is no pressure and a different boiling point...or...

disconnect the heater core in and out and blow into the heater core and see if the air exits...i had a similar problem when my heater core burst and spilled steamy hot coolant all over my feet
