spark plug wires arcing
I've got a HUGE miss (1 or 2 cylinders not firing) and all the spark plug wires are arcing onto the intake at the dustboot. It appears to be a simple fix by replacing the wires but I've never had a car where all the wires went bad at the same time. A friend of mine has a CQ that is doing the same thing but his car is still running fine. Is there a common problem with this? Maybe something I'm overlooking? I just don't want to spend $140 for a new set of wires and not fix the problem.

If it's arcing out of the wires, then they're most likely the culprit...
...I really don't understand what your statement/question is. If it's broke, fix it, if you're too cheap, don't and let it keep misfiring...

2nd - and think about it - the conditions that caused one wire to go bad are there for the other
wires - so why should they not fail too.
Probably it was too much heat. But oil on the wires can cause failure too.

And if they're all the same age that makes sense that they're arcing...
...probably should have been replaced a year or at least 10k miles ago (if not longer).
