Upgrading the speakers in the car soon... and was wondering about some sizes... I'm guessing the front dash speakers are 4", the rear door speakers are 5.25", with 3/4 or 1" tweeters. I don't believe that there are any rear deck speakers..., though if there were cutouts available I might put some there... Also, for the doors, how hard is it to feed speaker wire through the door jambs?
BTW, found this link below to a company that makes door speaker inserts...
Is there a way to mount 6.5" midranges in the rear doors, or should I just consider getting those speaker pockets?
Thanks for the help,

a Blaupunkt Tampa cd player... (cheap for $60 on eBay),
and a set of MB Quart Q series, 3/4" tweeter, 6.5" mid and crossover.
Looking to get 4 inch coaxial in dash, and either get the speaker pod for the front doors and 5.25" in the rears or make the 6.5" fit the rear doors.

Do you want sound quality or sound pressure (doof doof) system?
I am guessing sound quality...so after getting rid of all your old speakers etc
I would get the pods for the front doors and get 6.5" splits (MB Quart Q series or better). Try and put the 6.5 woofers (mid bass) in the doors and then the tweeters in the dash, at least then your dash spots are being used by something.
Then put 5" (or 6") coax's (these are only for rear fill and do not have to be $$$ at all) in the rear and get a 12" sub. Then run the sub and front splits off a 4 channel amp and the rear off the head deck.
Whats your budget?
Cheers
