Was told by the dealer that I need a special tool to remove the spark plug wires from my '93 90CS. I've tried to pull them off to expose the plugs, but they won't come off and I don't know how hard to pull on them without causing damage, so maybe he isn't giving me a line. Any thoughts??

You can use a large 45° needle nose pliers. But use great care with them or you can split or tear the rubber
insulation.

The removal tool makes it much easier. No worries about ripping either.

..it's usually found on the #1 plug wire. Of course they dissapear over the years so you might not have one. It's a flimsy lookin piece of plastic but it really does work great.
Course you prolly dont have one, so angled needle-nose are most likely the way to go. But as 'panzerwagen' mentioned...be careful not to rip the insulation...oh, and they tend to POP out so watch your nose (experience talkin :P ) Good luck.
