Default special tool for upper strut mounts
can this tool be purchased anywhere? or can i fabricate my own? anyone btdt lately?

If you have a dremel tool, you can fabricate one out of a socket. Just use one of the SAE sockets that came the Craftmen set that you never use ;-) I think 5/8 or 3/4 is probably the right size.

Default Will a deep offset box wrench work?
Or can you get away with a impact? I have an impact but not the special tool.
