Default Re: speedometer sensor

They are not too expensive ($35 or so I seem to recall) but many times what is wrong is not the sensor but something in the instrument cluster (the solder on the back of the cluster tends to break for example). My speedo quit working so my mechanic replaced the sender and it didn't help. A good smart hit on the dash on the right side of the cluster fixed it however! I've had to do it once more myself but that was 3000 miles ago and it's worked fine ever since. Might have to fix it eventually but it's a cheap fix.
