Split second MAF kits. Anyone have any idea if these would boost performance in our 12v 90's?

the universals sell for $925 to $950. ouch. probably not worh the gains, if there would be any, unless you are someone with a supercharger or turbo(s).

Gains?
Its there to allow you to "tweek" the voltages to adjust fuel up or down approx 20% rich or lean.
Normally needed after a "serious mod" has rendered your "stock" fueling system ineffective.
Wont add a darn thing to an otherwise "stock" engine. Your O2 sensor will make certain of that!

Just to add to what Mike said, any of the fuel computers that alter the signal from the MAF sensor will probably work. A popular one is the Apex'i S-AFC, it allowys you to alter the fuel +/-50%. Using this you can run fuel injectors 50% larger than stock, but still have decent drivablility and a good idle.

It's ideal for light to moderate engine mods such as induction mods and performance exhausts where small adjustments can be made to the air/fuel ratio to compensate for a leaner 'top end' produced by such mods. Intercepts the ECU/MAF voltages and tells the ECU to lengthen the injector pulse.
sells for $118, downside is the change in a/f ratio is across the whole rev range.

Here is one place that has them for a reasonable price, though look around as they are very often for sale used at half that price. Since you are going supercharged, you will need larger injectors and a way of controlling them unless you go with a RRFPR or add additional injectors.<ul><li><a href="http://www.optauto.com/webstore/product_information.asp?number=APX-401-A907&variation=&aitem=24&mitem=26&back=yes&dept=13 9">http://www.optauto.com/webstore/product_information.asp?number=APX-401-A907&variation=&aitem=24&mitem=26&back

what mods have you done? intake/exhuast mods, won't do much. intake/exhaust/cams/port work then you may want to think about it to get max power from the factory programming. you can always get an adj. fuel pressure reg. and turn the rail pressure up, then if you are still having problems (duty cycle too high, not enough flow, etc) then get new injectors.

I just want to make sure this is done right, and I'm not afraid to spend money to do this well. All I need to know is how to enlargen the injectors, and what it'd look like price wise.
Thanks a lot Rob,
