Default squeeeeeealing belt

1989 80Q w/ 216k
I have a belt that allows people to hear me coming from miles away.

I can get it to settle down after I get moving and it does not start up again untill I get into town where there's a lot of stop and go driving

All the belts SEEM tight. No belts appear to be slipping. I did notice that when the engine is idleing the crank pully which drives the three belts was a little wobbily. Nothing drastic, but it seems like it should spin perfectly smooth. NO? All the other pullies spin smooth.

I also no not have any power steerining. That has been a problem for over a year. No fluid loss. No other symptoms with hydrlics. Just no power steering?

What causes this terrible noise?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Default Re: squeeeeeealing belt

First get some belt cleaner (dressing) and spary it on every belt, second, remove each belt (execept timing of course) and see if any diffrence, third, remove your timing belt cover and try to diagnose if "idle pulley " ( or crank pulley, I think it's called like this, it's the pulley that spins for "nothing")...... if any result than.......ask someone else cause I don't know cause I can't think of anything else.
