stalling from takeoff...
in my 93(auto) cs90, everytime that i drive my audi, the car is very fluttery and won't go, just rolls, then the car will finally get enough pressure built up and take off. i had the transmission re-built about 6 months ago, and took it back to him and he said that there was nothing wrong with it. Then i went to another euro shop and they said that it was the transmission. i am getting nowhere, if anyone is knowledgeable as to what the problem is please help!!!

Ok...what exactly is happening?
Is the engine
A. stalling at idle
B. you revving the engine and not moving until the tranny spins for a while?
If it's A, probably a vaccum leak. Listen for a hissing noise coming from the engine. It's probably that line on the rear passenger side of the intake manifold. I think that line splits more often because part of the hose touches the metal.
If it's B, it's probably because the auto tranny is a piece of garbage. Or it could be low on fluid.

Re: Ok...what exactly is happening?
yes b, i revv the engine and it doesn't move until it spins for a while. i initially thought that it could be low on fluid, so i checked it, but it was okay.

Re: You could swap the transmission like MikTip did. :-)
well i am either going to swap the tranny, or just sell it and get an a4. the rebuilt transmission we just got 6 months ago was 2500$ so i really don't wanna do that again.
