Sometimes it also can sound like a bad fan belt or nothing at all
Do a search here for "ignition switch". I posted a whole writeup on how to replace it.

well, you can get 'em from the local stealer..or online..just be careful not to get one to cheapy...
...I forget the best brand/place to get them off hand, but I'd bet a quick forum search would yeild good advice on the good makers. My good friend and Audi mechanic always get's the right ones for me
