'93 90Q - When I try to start her up, I get a few slow revolutions, then clicking from a relay under the dash and the starter. Search has revealed it's probably a bad starter, but can anyone offer any other gems of knowledge, ignition switch, solenoid, battery? Thanks, Cody

I replaced it with an Optima Redtop and it's never troubled me since. What was happening was, the starter would turn a few revolutions, by then it had drained the battery of the power it required to activate the solenoid, so the solenoid just continued to click without fully engaging.

Seems a bad ground might cause this as well. Looks like i'll be cleaning battery terminals and checking voltage first though. It's been ~100 degrees for several days here in Denver. Can car batteries overheat?
