Default stereo installation

recently the stock gamma head unit in my 94' 90 stopped working. I planned on installing the system setup that i had in my other car soon but i had a few quick questions. first, what all is entailed in installing an aftermarket deck? I pulled out the old gamma deck and it's a little different than im used to. With the rears both being individually amped, is just a new wiring harness gonna do it or do i need to rewire both speakers as well around those amps? second, this deck has both a front and rear antenna inputs, do i need a special antenna adaptor or should i just plug in one or the other? Finally, has anyone tryed putting 6 1/2s in back as opposed to the 5 1/4s? if so, how'd you do it? any input is much appreciated, i'll be busy the next few days but i'll try to stay up with you all. thanks again

well i am not much oh a stereo expert, but i do know you will need to rewire your rear speakers. i am not sure about the antenna so ill leave that alone. As for the 6 1/2s i think i remember seeing some people do this

Default pull old deck out, install new deck cage

plug in radio and antenna harness, plug harness/s into new deck, slide new deck into cage

when i put in my stereo i just got the harness for the power but for the rear speakers it took some fancy wiring. I think i remember splicing the amp turnon and wiring that through. lots of trial and error. also i just got an antenna adapter and used to fm one, one is am and one is fm so you have to choose one

Default The front/rear antenna leads aren't AM/FM specific...

...just part of the "dual diversity" antenna system.
