Hi,

Since 3 days I have a strange start engine pb on a cabriolet 95. I started the engine in th emornig and after half a mile I had the check engine light on. I stopped on the side of the road with the engine running and put the transmission on P and the light went out. I used the car all day and everything was fine. In the evening I tried to start the car, the engine was running but would not start. After turning the key I moved the transmission down to gear 1 and when I tried to start the engine it started immediately.
For 3 days now the engine starts but soemtimes I have the check engine light comes on ( and it goes off generally) and after that the engine does not start. After I "play" with the transmission the engine will start.

Any ideas with what goes on? Help is needed.
