The hose is not too easy to see but its on the right side under the IMF close to the furthest front spark plug. I looked in all vacuum charts and this is not listed or even shown. Its a black hard plastic hose with a blue stripe that dissapears under the engine somewhere.
where it bends around the engine it is kinked from old age. Anybody have a clue where this line goes to and from? The bad thing is that its location means tearing the IMF out to get to it so if its not a really important hose I will not be so alarmed.

I bet thats not a vacuum hose at all... but just the wires for the oil temp and pressure senders, they are insulated in hard plastic tubing. There is only one vac hose running right under the IM, and thats to the vac resivoir which is on the opposite side.

now that I think of it your correct. I moved it around alittle but seeing where the tubing goes under the manifold it makes sense its a wire cover.
the fact that its kinked because its a tight fit around a corner doesnt mean anything. I was hoping the audi engineers didnt put a vac hose in such a stupid spot.
the vac hose on the other side being lime green certainly helps you follow it.
