So I searched the archives last night and I thought I had diagnosed the problem as trunk wire harness.
I checked it out tonight and the clock and climate control display light up with the headlights off. When I turn the headlights on, the clock and climate control fade out. The instrument lights do not come on at all. I tried opening and closing the trunk and I checked the Lic. plat lights and hood light (it sorks with the headlights, I never knew that). The fuses are good so it seems like the dash lights have burned out.???
I am thinking it has something to do with the dash brightness potentiometer (****) shorting out. Has anyone had that happen?
