awful gas milage
rough idle
not so easy semi warm/cold starts, 15+ cranks
again, awful gas milage, last full-empty is 290 miles.
engine studders and hesitates after cold start
if I fire the engine up cold and shut it off after a minute or 2 before it heats up, I can barely start the car.
engine absolutely sucks after cold start, I can floor it and RPMs would climb in bumps kinda like only firing 3-4 cylinders. However hot engine starts and runs fine.
Car also idles like crap, feels like I lose a cylinder once in a while. but in motion it feels fine....

Did this happen suddenly, or just getting worse over a few months?
You might check the fuel pressure regulator, checking resistance against the Bentley, and also the connectors in that plug.
I had the same symptoms after changing the air filter due to a loose fpr connection.

I had exactly the same problem. Before you go and spend lots of cash on CIS items, make sure that you ignition system is in tip top shape. If you haven;t replaced the cap, rotor, plugs and wires in a while, you will get those exact symptoms. Take special care that the plug wires are the correct resistance. There seems to be two types of wires available, old style and new. Find out which kind is correct for your car.
