symptoms of a partially clogged fuel filter
if you have a clogged fuel filter can you still idle perfectly but be sluggish driving? Its so hard to tell but for a V6 it sure doesnt seem to have that much pep. sometimes it seems to stumble a bit or maybe its just my imagination. the only thing i can go by are records the previous owner kept but I didnt see anything about a fuel filter change ever. Does anybody know at the official 45k or 60k if the fuel filter is changed by the dealer?

Yes, those could be symptoms of limited fuel supply... but other things could be at fault as well...
catalytic converters, spark, etc... But, generally speaking, a fuel starved engine can idle fine but just doesn't "have it" when it comes to acceleration - no additional fuel available.

thanks, now if only the filter was a bit easier to replace!
i swear they put it in the worst spot to get at almost making sure you have to take it to a dealer to have them haggle with it
