Is there any procedure for checking control arm bushings? Or any telltale signs that they need...

...replacement? Are they a matter of don't fix 'em till they're broke? Car has 130k on it, and I have no indication if they've ever been replaced or not.
Search didn't really yield any way of checking them, just people who've had problems with them after major suspension work and/or lowering their cars.
Thanks!

If the bushings are bad they will move a whole lot. If they are good they move only a bit. Test all of them and if you replace them make sure you tighten the conrtol arm when the vehicle is on the ground.
