Default Those with actual HID kits...

...meaning, ones with ballasts and true HID bulbs, what temperature kit did you get? I'd like to match the color of a new Audi HID or Mercedes HID. You guys have any pics and temperatures? Search function proved useless.

Default i bought from HID-Lights.com the 6000K convertion kit

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/47889/coupe_lamps_1.jpg"></center><p>H4 Bi-xenon.Ballasts ignitors and switches seem to function very well and i have no trouble with them whatsoeever. The lighting is True White which was something i really wanted instead of blue or purple that they advertise.I had read in other forums that 12000K(purple)is sh*** colour because it actually illuminates less than halogen due to the colour.
Side by side with BMW,Audi,Honda s2000,my colour is somewhere in the middle i would say.It seems brighter and more extravagant than Honda and Audi, less nice than BMW especially those new X5 that seem to use 7500K(kinda bluish colour)

A few pros and cons of the hids now that i have been using them a while....
1)it would be better to have a motorised adjustment of the vertical hight of the beam(it is the law here in europe in order to have hids)

2)make sure you have E1 headlamps

3)most importanly...If you buy H4 bi-xenons i believe that the best bulbs optically have got to be the GE ones sold by http://www.xenonvalot.com/ since you can see on the site that in a gif picture, the retracting mechanism that operates the high and low beam places the HID filament excactly on the same height as the reagular H4 halogen bulb. When this happens, the light is spread on the reflector housing accordingly thus giving you a decent High beam.9low is always guarenteed)

My high beam was kind of crappy,so i did some modifications until i finally got the audi 90 headlamps(H4-H1) and found piece in my mind!!hehe
On the other hand if you dont have so much money to spend on bi-xenons,make sure you have a separate bulb for high beam and you are ok.As i can see your Gt already has those headlamps,so you probably wont have to pay much. You can buy the kit i bought.I reccomend it.Also another site i reccomend and they are quite helpful is this:http://mycars.us/xe/ms_bi-xenon.htm they also sell now Ge bulbs

i hope i have helped.pics in poster!!<ul><li><a href="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/">http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/</a</li></ul>

Default All factory HID is 4100k-4300k

This IS the optimal kelvin temp for best output and clarity.

2nd that. It has to do with the projection ellipsoids that cause the different colors from headon...
