Got almost everything sorted out on the CQ, but the oil press. gauge is goofy. When the ignition is off, the gauge is at 0 as expected, then spikes when the ignition is on, but drops again to 0 shortly after the engine is started up.

Here's the sender and switch wired up, I tried switching the two wires on the sender with the same result but accompanied with an immediate AutoCheck oil press. warning...

I'm going to look more closely into the Bentley, but saw nothing at a glance about the wiring of the gauges.

I also noticed I need to replace the radiator side mount (always fun)...

I have a Scorpion center but it's too damn raspy. Oh well, it'll have to do for now.

Oh, and the tires are getting dry-rotted; two have a couple cracks in the sidewalls, the worst is about 3/4" long. :/

I shot a quick video (youtube), too. All but one of the lifters quieted down before I shot it; it sounds really bad in the video but isn't that bad in person...she just needs an oil change and to stretch her legs a bit.

Default I'm pretty sure that you can remove the plug and reinstall with

teflon tape and it will be fine. I used a small punch and a hammer to remove the plug (tap counterclockwise on the outside of the X) when I converted to vacuum assist. Under that plug is a little rod that pumps fluid through the hose to the bomb.

Anyhow...I don't see why you wouldn't be able to stop that leak with some teflon tape.

Default Is there an o-ring or washer under there?

I saw that it was wet, so I brakleen'd it off...then watched the bubbles and oil start to flow again. :/

Default Coolant?...the puddle is condensate dripping from the exhaust. :P

It's saturated with black soot, though...might be doing 034 injectors sooner rather than later. :P

Default I think there's an O-ring

did you try to tighten it?

Default Haven't touched it yet. If I can find a replacement ring I'll go that route...

I'll check the parts catalog tomorrow, but I remember there not being a parts breakdown for the pump.

Default PINS: clean the housing off best you can, there should be a

blue mark on the same side as one of the pins, and one of the original sockets should have been blue.

Well, i'm guessing, that's how the oil pressure sender on my UrS was marked...
