Default I'm even more curious why he wouldnt excersise the life-time warranty....

as they are VERY good about replacing them. I had them on my motorhome and blew one in New Mexico once. They over-nighted me a replacement even tho I was stuck in a KOA campground & couldn't show them proof of purchase. And I have replaced several over the past 20 years and they have a virtual "no questions asked" policy. Show them you're the original owner and they'll overninght you one free... for life!

Only time I ever had a Koni fail they wanted the shock in-hand to evaluate before sending a replacement. They did send one... 6-8 weeks later.

Default Cool...

I didn't know they would send one without inspection first. Well, I thought you had to buy a new one, send in old one, and if bad, they would refund you.

Default Thanks for the replies. I think what will decide is

if I get springs at the same time. I would like the adjustability, and the abilty to use the stock or aftermarket springs with the koni's, but am having a hard time swallowing the price compared to the bilsteins.
