Tonight, after eleven years of ownership, I finally said goodbye to my 1988 Audi 90 Quattro.

It was hard to let it go, but I've hardly driven it for the last 2 years (since I got my B5 S4) and it finally got to the point where it required more work than I had time/money to give. The final straw was the heater core going out.
I've given it to a friend who has the time and skills to work on it himself -- I had to pay a mechanic for all the work I had done, and it became cost-prohibitive. At 170,000 miles it should still have some good life left in it.
What a great car.

I'm sure the g/f would have enjoyed a car like that, especialy if there is no payment attached
She loves her Jetta but hates having a payment.
Now you have a void to fill **cough cough black on black coupe *cough* 10VT** cough....with one less Audi in the household. ;-)

my 88' is starting to show its years now as well. It has not been driven in 6 months and it still has some nagging issues I am trying to resolve to get it in a condition to actually sell when the time comes.
