This shop ever do an "Audi" timing belt job?
Usually when you change the timing belt there's a few other items that should be changed as well.
Namely the water pump & thetrmostat. Plus all the timing belt rollers.
So, $250 sounds way to good to be true! Unless all that shop is changing is the belt alone. Then I'd wonder if the "know" Audi's well enough?
Food for thought.

all my local friends with VW's and Audis go there, this guy definitely knows his stuff.
I've been there a few times before, he remembers my car.. so I think maybe he's just cutting me a deal...?

As has been stated here recently, be sure and get the thermostat while you're in there. And of course the water pump.
For timing belt, water pump, radiator hoses, and labor, I paid $550 at a German Specialty place a couple years back. $250 is a steal!
