Default Took a trip to NYC for the weekend

and while I was cruising down I 84 on Saturday I got into a little scuffle with what I thought was just another car, until I got smoked (badly too I might add). I was cruising doing about 75-80 mph when a guy driving an old school Dodge Daytona pulls up next to me. At first glance the car was clean and very well kept, but I should of payed closer attention. We broke from traffic and he pulled right up next to me. So I downshifted into 4th and hit it, well a second later he does the same and thats when it occured to me, that Dodge Daytona is no ordinary Dodge. Once he downshifted and I heard the turbo spool up I knew I was toast. At the time I had accelerated to about 95 on my way to 100+ at full throttle, he passed me like I was standing still and thats when I noticed it "Shelby" right on the bottom of the door. I haven't seen one in quite a long time, especially in such nice condition.

Default Those were pretty fast and not that expensive either...

I had a friend who had one. He had Jasper rebuild the motor and the turbo but then lost his license because of heart problems. I think the car was sold for pennies just to help with his medical bills, since he was self-employed.

Default A friend of mine right up the road from here has 2 of them

He's had it since HS, the engines are soooo fragile though. Unless kept up constantly they seem to fail within a few months. My buddy spent $2000 fully building the engine inside and out, and still hasn't been able to get it to run properly. Before the build the engine blew out an oil fitting in the block. Wouldn't trade the Audi for one that's for sure!
