Default Tranny filling question

Can someone tell me, when changing the transmission fluid (5spd, 93 90CSQ), do you only fill by the inner CV joint plug, behind the heat shield. There's also that part of the transmission which is attached (between the transmission and where the drive shaft hooks up ?), does that have a drain and fill as well. Sorry for my lack af tranny terminology. Thanks in advance for any help.

The rear section is called the rear differential.. or rear diff.

yep, that needs to be filled to.

Are you draining everything and then filling it up?

Do you know the specs?

It's not the rear diff, which is in the back, this is right behind the transmission, before the driveshaft which goes to the rear diff.

The transmission housing includes the gearbox, the front diff and the center (torsen) diff. There is only one full hole for all three components, as you've located.

Sounds like the transfer case. It should have drain and fill plugs.
