transmission out of wack.

transmission out of wack.
i feel like my transmission shift points are off.
1st gear switches at 9mph
2nd gear switches at 17 mph
3rd gear switches at 25 mph
then the engine bogs down and i have to slam the peddle to maintain speed.
i drop the shifter to 3rd just to shift it when the speed is sufficient.
now to my question, is it possible to adjust the tranny shift points, and how..... thanks

i thing grillage has done a few, and i did one last winter. we found a donor FWD B4 for $400, it made life much easier and didn't have to worry about not having the right part.
but service your trans with fresh fluid and filter, Audi says that these transmissions have a life long fluid in them, which is total BS! autohaus az should have a filter with all the gaskets, also search the archives, one of the other guys did a nice write-up about it if my memory serves me right.
p.s. forgot to mentions, the automatic trans in cabs is total garbage. so if you decide that you want to keep your car, i would highly recomend doing the swap

I've only done the one. A parts car would make this pretty darn convenient except for the exhaust part. It needs reworked around the transmission.
I did mine in my driveway if it helps. A garage would've been nice but not necessary.
Here's a thread on my car...

I've had a lift and the owner of the cab helping me, took about 4 days and lots of inappropriate language and bloody knuckles . And yes, exhaust sucks and i would just take it to an exhaust shop for that

After putting 3 or 4 automatic transmissions in and having them all fail, I was ready to throw my cab away, but did the manual conversion as a last resort.
I should have done it years earlier, it turned it into an awesome car. Here's all the stuff I've done with it since the conversion
I put an ad in craigslist looking for a FWD Manual and someone gave me the black one. I put them up side-by-side on jackstands in the garage and did the swap.
It was a fair amount of work but nothing really hard. The need to fab up an exhaust was an unpleasant surprise at the very end.
