Default Transmission problem Audi 90 CS

I have a Audi 90 CS (93 Year)automatic transmission.
I am encountering problems when car shifts from second 2nd to 3rd gear. i.e only the gear shift hapens only if i take my leg off accelerator.
I did the transmission service yesterday due to the same problem. I had my ATF refilled yesterday.Do i have to wait for while or is it a bigger problem.
Also the RPM drops suddenly when i apply brakes during driving. But it comes back to normal once i start giving the acceleration.
Would appreiate if you could tell me as what could be the problem and what needs to be done

Default those are symptoms of your Auto-box dying. Take the high road and simply replace the whole tranny

you will spend a lot more money trying to "fix" your existing automatic. Save yourself a lot of stress & money by looking for a low-mileage replacement.

Default true but, he should try to replace the speed sensor first.

its a cheap part and an easy fix. Sometimes resolves little issue like this.

Default Did you use normal "red" ATF fluid?

Or did you get the expensive "Audi" ATF fluid? Next, try to scan the Transmission control module, if you pull a code it will help to determine what's wrong.

Has your transmission been serviced frequently?

Next you can always try a bottle of Lucas Transmission additive, I've used it with success.

I once had an automatic transmission in my car. It gave me nothing but headaches, then I swapped a manual into my car and haven't had a problem yet.

On a side note for all you old timers here on AW, I couldn't remember what it was like driving my Cab with an Auto slush box till I got into my newly acquired 90S, now I remember Its been that long.
